Braves of Customs Shooting Guard Baniba Dodzie has earned a spot in the top “5” players at the just ended FIBA Africa Zone 3 Club Championship.

The week long competition ended on Saturday November 18 at the National Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria with the home nation’s Kano Pillars and Gombe Bulls sealing places at the main continental championship.

Sharp shooter Dodzie was named among the best players in the tournament and received a trophy to recognize his
efforts for Ghana’s sole representative at the games.

He was joined by Tournament Most Valuable Player Abdul Yahaya and veteran Usman Abubakar of Pillars, Victor Ocheibi of Mark Mentors and Bulls ace Kator Gar.

Dodzie’s efforts proved not enough to qualify Braves to the next round as Bulls and Pillars clinched the top two spots.

Braves finished in fourth place and have arrived in Ghana’s capital Accra after departing Nigeria early today.
Baniba is a former Ghana Basketball Awards Most Valuable Player Award winner.
