Word reaching Basketballghana.com indicates a meeting will be held tonight to iron out details regarding next month’s elite competition in the Tema Basketball League.

The 2017 season recently came to a close with Tema Community 4 winning the league title for the first time in the team’s history.

Community 4 beat Ashaiman Lions 47-38 in Game 2 of the Finals to clinch the title but both teams could cross paths in December when the upcoming competition is set to be staged.

Tonight’s meeting, scheduled to commence at 18:00 GMT at Tema’s Community 4 Court, is expected to be attended by coaches, club representatives and league organizers.

Top of the list is finalizing a date to launch the competition and review the past season with an aim to draw out specific guidelines to next season’s league campaign.

Per reports gathered, the top eight teams in the just ended season are eligible to compete in the December Tournament which is likely to have competition between juvenile teams interspersed.

The likes of 2016 League Champions Nungua Coldstore, Lions, Tema Communities 4 and 2 and Tema Heat are expected to be in action next month.
