MVP Cobblah receives award.

University of Cape-Coast’s Final 4 competition has ended successfully with Kwame Nkrumah Hall emerging winners.

The one day program backed by food giant Indomie Ghana had teams representing halls on the tertiary campus featuring.

The likes of VALCO, SRC and Oguaa Halls participated in the tournament Nkrumah won by beating VALCO 42-32 in the final game.

SRC clinched third place ahead of Oguaa following a 20-15 win in the game that preceded the final matchup.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com, organizer of the competition Prince Opoku Mensah noted the tournament is a continuation of the campus league completed recently.

“The event came as a result of our campus league which was launched last semester….we decided to have a Final 4 competition to climax our campus league. Indomie came on board to be our headline sponsor” he said.

It turned out to be a big day for Nkrumah Hall as Center Desmond Cobblah was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament after starring in his team’s comeback win in the final.
