The school does not feature on the list of teams set to compete for places at the national games when qualifiers in the Central Region take place on Tuesday December 5 at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape-Coast.

The Saltpond-based school failed to be present in Ghana’s capital Accra for the last edition held in December, 2016 due to confusing over the number of qualification slots.

Mfantsiman placed third at the regionals last year with the belief they had secured the final spot behind Wesley Girls High School and Aggrey Memorial Mount Zion.

However, to the horror of the team’s leaders, the region was handed two slots paving the way for Wesley Girls and Aggrey to represent the region.

Ahead of Tuesdays qualifiers, the team’s not was not included in the six team roster due reasons Coach Ernest Koomson believes is a direct sabotage on his team’s efforts to get to the national event.

Mfantsimah is a former multiple Bronze medal winner at Sprite Ball. The next edition of the national games takes place from December 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
