Sprite Ball Championship Coordinator Lawrence Konor-Nartey got hitched over the weekend to long time girlfriend Bernice Mensah as preparations continue for the next edition of the celebrated tournament.

The Championship which doubles as Ghana’s National High School Basketball competition will be staged from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

Conversely, veteran administrator of the games, Kornor-Nartey, took time off extensive preparations for the upcoming event to tie the knot in an elaborate wedding ceremony.

The special occasion was graced by a slew of stakeholders in Ghana’s basketball fraternity with the likes of 2017 Exclusive Sports Man of the Year Winner Yaw Sakyi Afari, veteran Journalist Patrick Akoto and veteran players turned Pundits Sandy Asiedu, Jake Morrison and McMartey Lawer in attendance.

Africa’s Sole Boxing Hall of Fame inductee Azumah Nelso was present at the ceremony.

As the successful Director of celebrated basketball television show “Courtside” which airs on Kwese Free Sports, renowned personalities from the channel including Yaw Ampofo Ankrah and Kokui Selormey were present too.

The newly wedded husband is expected to resume duties in the coming days after a brief honeymoon ahead of the final preparation stages for next year’s Sprite Ball.
