Aggrey (white) v Swedru
Wesley Girls celebrate winning another title.

Swedru School of Business has ended an eye catching campaign at this year’s Central Regional High School Basketball qualifiers with a big win over Adankwaman Senior High School.

The team beat Adankwaman 27-3 to place third at the games played at the Robert Mensah Stadium to select teams to represent the region at Ghana’s National competition.

The National Games (Sprite Ball Championship) takes place from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra with 26 schools set to compete.

Despite missing out on a place in the final game, Swedru ensured its campaign came to a positive end courtesy the big win over little known Adansec.

Swedru finished second in Group B behind Aggrey Memorial Mount Zion School after clinching a surprise 14-9 win over Holy Child School at the preliminary stage.

Reigning National Champions Wesley Girls High School won beat Aggrey in the final 12-11 to clinch the regional title ahead of the January 2016 national winners.

The finalist have qualified to play in Accra with Mfantsipim School and St. Augustine’s College who made it from the boys division.
