Awudome Senior High School Headmaster Emmanuel Amu has assured all his school’s team will win the Sprite Ball Trophy next year.
He made the assurance during the Volta Region leg of the Sprite Ball Trophy Tour ahead of the national championship in 2018.
Awudome will represent the region in the girls division after clinching first place at the regional level; the team missed out on competing at the last edition to Three Town Senior High School.
In an interview with Basketballghana.com, Amu was confident Awudome’s comeback will be successful stating:
“This year we are assuring you that we will lift the trophy…this trophy will belong to no other school in the country but our great school”.
Awudome is set to take on the likes of former winners Aggrey Memorial Zion Senior School and T.I. Ahmadiyya and defending champions Wesley Girls High School.
The school has been a regular participant at the national games but is yet to advance to the finals in previous appearances.
Sprite Ball takes place from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
