UENR sink challenger Suncity in GSP League


University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) remains the unbeaten after four games in the Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League 2017-2018 season.

The recorded its fourth straight win with a 41-29 win over closest challengers Suncity Braves in the latest round of games played at the Eusbett Court in Sunyani.

Heading to the game, neither side had lost a game this season with both sides all three previous matchups; UENR led the standings after Week 3 on goal difference.

However, following the thrilling win over the 2015-2016 League Champions, the reigning champions hold a one point lead.

LIR Royals are level on points with Braves after clinching its third win of the season via a 37-11 win over Sunyani Technical University (STU).

Desert Rabbits extended its winning streak to two after clinching a hard fought 36-33 in over Barracks Scorpions in an exciting tie.

West Siders beat Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG Saints) 37-11 to record its first win of the season while condemning Saints to a fruitless season thus far.
