Takoradi Technical Institute students with Sprite Ball Trophy

Representatives of the Western Region at the upcoming Sprite Ball Championship have been drawn in tough groups for the national games.

The region will be represented by Takoradi Technical Institute (TTI) and St. John’s School, Sekondi in the male division with Ahantaman Girls Senior High School representing in the female division.

TTI has been drawn in Group A against record winners Mfantsipim School, 2014 winners Keta Senior High Technical School and Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC-Osu).

In Group B, St. John’s is set to face silver medalist Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS) and Prempeh College and Greater Accra representative St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School.

Ahantaman is in Group A of the female division alongside reigning Champions Wesley Girls High School, Accra Wesley Girls High School, West Africa Senior High School and two time winners T.I Ahmadiyya Senior High School.

No representative from Ghana’s Western Region has won the Sprite Ball Championship. Next year’s Championship takes place from January 4-6 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
