Kumasi Girls High School Basketball Coach Zibo Brown has indicated his team is intent on winning the Sprite Ball Championship.

Brown alluded his team has made progress since its debut appearance at the prestigious competition two years ago.

He made the statement in an interview with Basketballghana.com at the University of Ghana Campus where participating schools in the competition will be based.

“There is something I have studied about my team every year there is progress. During our first appearance, we placed fourth and our second year we came second meaning every year we are improving so this year we are going to improve and go beyond our position last year” he said.

Kumasi Girls placed at the last Sprite Ball after falling to Wesley Girls High School in the final game but clinched a third straight appearance at the national games in November last year after winning the Ashanti Region Qualifiers.

This year’s competition takes place from January 4-6 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
