Prior to the start of this year’s Sprite Ball Championship, a special clinic has been organized with an aim to highlight areas of development for young players.

The Clinic was held at the University of Ghana Campus where participating teams in the latest edition of Sprite Ball will be based during the games.

DC Dynamics Coach Feranmi Olulonyo headlined the event; members of the Dansoman-based club took turns coaching players through several drills.

Participants were taken through drills on several aspects of the game in passing, shooting, defending and dribbling; a cardio session was included in workout.

The program took place in the aftermath of school’s arrival to Ghana’s premier university with members of the respective teams participating.

A media session where the press interacted with players, coaches and managers of the respective teams was held after the clinic closed.

Games are due to commence on Thursday January 4 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra; the competition ends on Saturday January 6.

Opoku Ware School and Wesley Girls High School are defending champions in the male and female divisions.
