Metro Education Director Kore and Osu PPRESEC Head Norteye

Newly minted Sprite Ball Male Division Champions Presbyterian Senior High School (Osu PRESEC) have paid a courtesy call on Accra Metropolitan Director of Education Margaret Frempong Kore.

The team paid a visit to the Director after winning this year’s Sprite Ball Championship courtesy a 25-22 win over Mfantsipim School in the final game.

PRESEC’s win is the first for Greater Accra Region in the male division since 2009 when Armed Forces Senior High Technical School won the competition.

Members of the winning team including Most Valuable Player of the tournament candidate Prince Lumorvi and Coach of the tournament Eric Ankamah made the visit.

Headmistress of the school Barbara Norteye was part of the entourage to the Director’s office; Per report gathered by Basketballghana.com, similar visits have been planned to Accra Metropolitan Assembly Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Adjei Sowah.

PRESEC surprised the male competition in Ghana’s most celebrated high school basketball competition with a 45-14 win over Mfantsipim in the opening game before repeating the win in the final game.

PRESEC Guard Joel Koboayere was named Most Valuable Player of the Tournament.
