Wesley Girls High School Coach Roger Abaidoo’s missed predicting the right winner of this year’s Sprite Ball Championship as Kumasi Girls High School emerged champions.

Abaidoo predicted Accra Wesley Girls High School would win the tournament after his side lost to the latter in the opening game of this year’s competition.

The game was a rematch of the group tie involving both teams in the December 2016 edition which was won by Wesley Girls and earned Abaidoo Coach of the Tournament Award.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com on which team he tipped to win the division prior to the semifinals, Wesley Girls Trainer picked Accra Wesley.

“I am tipping Accra Wesley Girls.. the last time, the champions came from our group we were first. This year we were in the same group with Accra Wesley Girls and I think they were able to beat us they can take the trophy” he said.

Despite going into the just ended edition as defending national and regional champions, Wesley Girls failed to make it out of the group stages to exit the competition early.
