His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II has stated a viable career lies in basketball in an interview with Basketballghana.com addressing student players of Presbyterian Senior High School (Osu PPRESEC).

The Ga Mantse said this when he received a contingent from the school following its successful campaign in this year’s Sprite Ball Championship.

Osu PRESEC won the recently ended competition thanks to a 25-22 win over Mfantsipim School in the final game; PRESEC’s title is the first for Greater Accra Region in the male division.

Speaking to the entourage that had members of the playing body, Coach of the Tournament Eric Ankamah and Headmistress Barbara Norteye, the Ga Mantse congratulated the team and edged them to go further.

“We want to tell them that its about time that they think about a possible career with basketball” he said after congratulating Osu PRESEC.

The reigning champions of Ghana’s biggest high school basketball championship are on a trophy tour and have touched base with dignitaries including Accra Metropolitan Assembly Education Director Magdalene Kore.
