Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS) Basketball Coach Albert Djan has decided to leave post in the aftermath of this year’s Sprite Ball Championship Basketballghana.com can confirm.

Djan has been with the team for three straight appearances at the Sprite Ball Championship with this year’s edition being the last.

KSTS crashed out of the Championship following two losses in Group b to Prempeh College and St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School; the team beat St. John’s School, Sekondi 25-16.

Citing personal differences with team management as the reason for his departure, the recently held edition at the El Wak Stadium in Accra is his final run with the team.

Djan went on to make the announcement in an interview on “Courtside” over the weekend on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports where he also attributed the school’s falling level of success as a result of a drop in roster quality.

KSTS is a three time bronze medal and 2015 silver medal winner at Ghana’s biggest high school basketball competition. However, the school has struggled in recent times.
