Kumasi Girls Senior High School Headmistress Margaret McDavis Asamoah has stated her school intends to dominate the female high school landscape for a long time to come.

She said this in an interview with Basketballghana.com when a special ceremony was organized to celebrate the arrival of the Sprite Ball Championship trophy.

Kumasi Girls won this year’s Sprite Ball after beating Accra Wesley Girls High School 30-29 in overtime in the final game.

Quizzed on future plans after clinching the coveted trophy, she said, “We will do our best to continue to win the basketball trophy for a very long time to come and in doing that we will also train our children to do their best to fit into the athletic competitions in the country”.

Kumasi Girls have been consistent since bursting on the scene in January 2016 when it placed fourth in its maiden appearance at Sprite Ball.

The team placed second in the December edition the same year before going a step higher to clinch gold this year.
