Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Sports Directorate is set to organize justifiers early next month.

The justifiers per reports reaching Basketballghana.com indicate student athletes will be recruited to compete for the institution in various disciplines.

Chief among the disciplines to athletes will be tested is basketball; football, track and field events, hockey and volley ball are included in the list.

The program is set to take off on Friday March 9 and end on March 10 at the institution’s Paa Joe Stadium with thousands expected to participate in several drills.

Standout athletes will be reportedly granted admission to the tertiary institution once they satisfy basic educational requirements.

The move is geared to stock up on premier athletes for upcoming assignments and replaces several departing athletes once the present academic year ends.

KNUST fared bad at the 2017 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship as it exited at the group stage.

The Male basketball side missed out on a medal at this year’s Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games but the female side won bronze.

KNUST placed third on the medal table with 12 medals including three gold medals.
