Suncity Braves lay third heading to today’s round of games in the 2017-2018 Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League season.

The former league champions will be up against Barracks Scorpions in its latest league game at the Eusbett Court in Sunyani later today.

Scorpions are ranked fifth in the standings and lost 9-34 in the previous round to University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR)

However, the team could move up in the standings or catch up to league leader UENR depending on results from the round’s biggest tie.

UENR will be in action against second placed LIR Royals in the final game of the day; with Braves behind Royals in the standings due to an inferior goal difference, this could be Suncity’s path to second place.

A loss for UENR which would be its first of the season and an expected win for Braves would get the 2016-2017 league champions on the same points with reigning champs UENR.

CUCG Saints play Sunyani Technical University and West Siders play Desert Rabbits in the remaining games.
