Ho Technical Guard Al-Bassit pushes the ball

All Nations celebrate

Ho Technical University Male Basketball Team Captain Philip Kaitu has stated his team is disappointed after missing out on progression to the next stage of the 2018 UPAC Basketball Championship.

This year’s edition of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Championship tipped off today at Pope John Senior High School.

Games in Zone 1-Eastern Region- involving Ho Technical, All Nations University College and Koforidua Technical University were played earlier today.

All Nations ended as zonal winners edging Ho Technical on goal difference to successfully defend the zonal title and book a spot in Accra for the national games in April.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com exclusively after the tournament, Ho’s leader was sad about the turn of events stating:

“ Feel really bad, disappointed but I think it’s a wakeup call and I think we have work more we have to keep practicing so that next time it wouldn’t be this bad”.

Despite beating Koforidua Technical 27-12 in the final game of the round, a 32-45 loss to All Nations was Ho’s undoing as All Nations superior goal difference sealed its place as winners.
