Bentil and fellow new signing Nikola Rebic.
This past weekend has turned out to be a poor one for popular foreign based Ghanaian players across several divisions in basketball.

Versatile Forward and 2016 NBA Draft pick Ben Bentil made his debut for his new team RETABET Bilbao Basket on Sunday March 4 but was far from impressive.

He scored two points in the 71-74 loss to Guinpokza GBC in the Spanish League; In 11 minutes he registered an assist and a rebound but committed three fouls and turnovers respectively.

In America, Amida Brimah was in action for Austin Spurs in the NBA Gatorade League in his team’s 126-117 win over Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

Brimah scored four points, grabbed six rebounds, registered an assist and blocked a shot in 14 minutes off the bench.

His production proved to be the best outing for Ghana’s foreign contingent as his slightly better numbers ended up in a win.

Like Bentil, Temple University Forward Ernest Aflakpui played 11 minutes for the Owls 58-76 loss to Tulsa University.

Aflakpui scored two points and grabbed two rebounds.
