Two time NBA Champion and former Los Angeles Lakers Center Didier Mbenga is to make an appearance at the Accra Technical University (ATU) for the 2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship Zone 5.

The Belgian-Congolese former pro is Ghana headlining the B.R.A.I.N Project and Basketballghana.com gathers he will be at ATU on Thursday March 22 for the zonal competition.

The B.R.A.I.N Project is in line to have a host of children suffering from brain and spinal injuries to undergo surgery for free.

Mbenga made an appearance on Ghana’s premium basketball television show “Courtside” over the past weekend and touched on varied issues during an interview.

Shedding light on former teammate Kobe Bryant and Coach Phil Jackson, Mbenga also dished out inspiring words to young basketball players in the country.

Accra Technical has been drawn in the zone with Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration-GIMPA, Valley View University and Wisconsin University College.

The zone’s winner qualifies to the national championship set for next month at the University of Ghana.
