2017 Tema Basketball League Champions Tema Community 4 has been invited to compete in the Akatsi Basketball Reunion Fun Games in Akatsi.
Basketballghana.com can confirm the team has arrived in Akatsi and is gearing up to compete in the one day tournament.
The contingent is made up of the Under 19 side and Senior side who will be in action against host Akatsi Rifles and a few select teams from Akatsi.
Community 4’s Under 19 and main teams won respective competitions in last season’s league campaign in Tema; the Under 19 side beat Nungua Coldstore’s Junior side-Nungua Youngings to win the age category competition.
The main side topped Ashaiman Lions in the finals series to clinch its first league title; C4 won two straight games to win the series.
Players from participating teams are eligible to compete in three point shooting and slam dunk contests which are prominent events on the itinerary.
Today’s event is expected to attract a host of dignitaries including Member of Parliament for Akatsi South Bernard Ahiafor.
