CUCG (blue) v STU.

CUCG (white and Black gear) in action.
Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League outfit Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints will take a break from competing in the Sunyani-based league in April.

The team will be in Kumasi to play in the 2018 Private Universities Sports Association Games (PUSAG) from April 2-6.

This means CUCG will miss Week 12 games in the GSP League to concentrate on participating in the multi sport competition.

CUCG failed to make the top positions in last year’s competition which was held at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape-Coast.

The team is scheduled to play Desert Rabbits in the league on Monday April 2 but the tie is expected to be cancelled by management.

Later today, Week 11 games will be played out but Saints will not be in action as its tie against West Siders has been cancelled.

Basketballghana.com’s checks indicate West Siders consistent failures to show up for games are a reason behind the cancellation.

CUCG Saints lie seventh in the eight team GSP League with nine points.
