All Nations (green) v ATU

Accra Technical University (ATU) has ended play in Group B of the 2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship with a big win over All Nations University College.

ATU beat All Nations 56-30 in its final game in the quarterfinals of this year’s edition to qualify as winners of the group.

Beating All Nations was Accra Technical’s third win of in first round of the knockout phase after accounting for Sunyani Technical University (STU) and University of Education-Winneba (UEW).

ATU beat UEW 49-28 in the opening game and added a 48-17 over STU to take bold steps to towards a third UPAC title.

Accra Technical lifted the 2011 and 2015 UPAC titles but has been on a slide in recent years placing second and third in 2016 and 2017 editions respectively.

ATU will play Takoradi Technical University in the semifinals after the latter side qualified from Group A in second place behind University of Ghana (UG).

UG plays the winner of STU’s matchup against UEW.
