Tema Community 2 is in winning mode in the Tema Basketball League by recording a second straight win in the league over the past weekend.
C2 clinched a 56-42 win over Akatsi Rifles in one of four Week 7 Games played at the Tema Community 4 Court on Sunday.
The win comes after Community2 clinched a 47-27 win over Tema Rockets in Week 5 condemning the latter side to the basement of the nine team standings.
This takes C2’s record to two wins in five games played this season while Rifles fall to just a win in five appearances; Rifles beat Rockets.
C2 duo Richard Afedzie and the returning Jeffrey Djimatey were instrumental in the win with back to back three point shots from Djimatey proving key in a 47-37 lead in the final quarter.
Rifles depended heavily on shots from deep to get on the boards with Opel Ayawubo, Makafui Agudzumegah and Sedem Tettevi converting early in the game.
However, the shots dried up later in the game leading to C2’s win.
