The upcoming round of games in the Accra Basketball League is set to lift what has been an entertaining and competitive 2018 season so far to another level.
Week 8 league games in the Men’s Division I and Women’s Division respectively will be climaxed fixtures involving top performers.
In the Male Division, defending league champions Braves of Customs will be in action on Friday June 1 against fellow heavyweight Tema Youth.
Braves are yet to be beaten in four games and just returned from competing in an invitational tournament in Kenya.
Youth on the other hand have lost a game in six appearances this season but have been on a roll since suffering a loss to division leaders Adenta Leopards.
Despite playing shorthanded, the team has recorded three straight wins including Week 7’s pulsating 56-55 win over Tudu Magic.
In the female division, Ghana Police clashes against Braves of Customs in a game that features the only unbeaten teams in the division this season on Thursday May 31.
Police has won all four games played to lead the division as Braves have won three games in as many appearances. All games will be played at the Prisons Court in Cantonments.
