Teams representing Teshie in the 2018 Tema Basketball League have recorded losses in Week 8 games played early this evening at the Tema Community 4 Court.
Teshie Rangers and Teshie Vikings competed against home side Community 4 and Tema Community 2 respectively in the division.
However, Rangers lost 38-43 to defending league champions Community 4 while Vikings fell 32-42 to the improved Community 2.
Just like previous games, Rangers could not see the game through despite being in pole position to take the game’s lead and win the contest.
In the final quarter, Rangers trailed 36-38 but lacked composure, committed turnovers and attempted ill advised shots in frantic attempts to tie the game.
Community 4 capitalized on the lapses to stretch the lead clinch the win eventually; the loss is Rangers sixth of the season and has just a win to its credit.
Vikings are in a similar spot and their fortunes aren’t better after falling to Community 2; the league debutants have just a win in six games.
