Rangers v C4 (yellow)
Francophone (black) v Rifles
Coldstore (blue) v Heat

Francophone Stars, Tema Community 2 and Nungua Coldstore have registered wins in Week 8 of the 2018 Tema Basketball League to extend their respective winning streaks in the league.

Nungua Coldstore clinched its sixth straight win in as many games this season with a 61-45 win over Tema Heat in the biggest clash of the round.

Heat threatened to take the game’s lead in the second quarter as the team trailed 15-20 at the end of the first quarter. However, an Emmanuel Wolff layup and a shot from the free throw line put Coldstore ahead 28-25 to end the first half en route to clinch the 16 point win.

Francophone aside a poor start that had Akatsi Rifles take an 8-4 first quarter lead, Stars had little trouble putting away Rifles for its third straight win.

Cedric Kore came off the bench to score crucial points to get Francophone ahead 26-10 at the end of the first half as Rifles continued to miss shots from three point range.

Tema Community 2 played the opening game of the round against Teshie Vikings and recorded a 42-32 win for its third win on the bounce. After starting the season with three losses, the team has responded brilliantly with the trio of wins.

Defending league champions Tema Community 4 clinched a 43-38 win over Teshie Rangers.
