Ghana Center Amida Brimah has made an encouraging start to life in the 2018 NBA Summer League as a starter for San Antonio Spurs.

Brimah registered nine points, nine rebounds and three blocks; He added an assist and a steal to his production in Spurs 76-92 loss to Utah Jazz.

The University of Connecticut product was efficient in his 21 minutes cameo as he scored four of five attempted from the field.

However, his production from the free throw line left much to be desired as he scored only one of five attempts in the game.

San Antonio was led by Point Guard Derrick White who poured in 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists; Nigerian-American Guard Chimezie Metu added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Spurs take on Atlanta Hawks later tonight with the Hawks coming off an 88-103 loss to Memphis Grizzlies; Hawks draftee Trae Young is set to feature.

A strong Summer League performance from Brimah could see him land a backup Center role to Pau Gasol on Spurs main team next season.
