This year’s National Unity Games have been postponed following a review per reports reaching Basketballghana.com in the lead up to the event.

The multidiscipline games were set to commence later this month on July 29 but has been moved to August 12 as a result.

The 2018 Games will take place at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape-Coast a year after Kumasi’s Baba Yara Stadium held the annual games which made a return following a lengthy break.

Basketball is one of the top disciplines at the games and several regional teams have been preparing feverishly for the competition.

Players in the Accra Basketball League (ABL)are fully aware of the games likewise management; as such plans were in place to have the league go on a break to accommodate ABL player participation at the competition.

The league was set to break following this weekend’s round of matches but that is likely to change due to the announcement.

Games in both Men and Women’s Division are set to be honored at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu on July 12, 13 and 14 respectively.
