SWIFT Hoops- the Dalex Finance funded 3X3 Basketball competition exclusively for college and university players- tips off later today at the Aviation Social Center in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

The one day tournament tips off at 15:00 GMT with 24 teams representing various tertiary institutions in the West African nation participating.

Today’s competition comes on the back of spiked interest in the 3X3 basketball form in the country culminating in Ghana’s Female side qualifying to the Africa Cup due to take place from November 9-11 in Lome, Togo.

Tonight’s games represent the end of a series of minor competitions played in various institutions earlier this year including Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Former Koforidua Senior High Technical School standout Guard Emmanuel Ekow Amoako is the Ambassador for SWIFT Hoops.

The young but experienced player joined SWIFT Product Manager Beauty Olerkie Larbie to express their excitement in the build up to the main competition today.

3×3 is a form of conventional basketball that has grown in popularity over the years and is a discipline at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
