He made the statement in an interview on basketball program “Coutside” on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports following the team’s performance at the recently held Dalex Finance SWIFT Hoops 3×3 Basketball Tournament.
The event was held at the Aviation Social Center in Ghana’s capital, Accra and featured 24 teams representing tertiary institutions in the West African nation.
Royals of Radford came second behind Legon Guerillas of University of Ghana (UG) after falling 10-11 in the final game. Radford received 2000 Ghana Cedis and assorted items from Dalex Finance.
Speaking on the team’s performance in the tournament, Pinto noted he was impressed by Royals matchup against members of UG’s all conquering team.
“Radford University will win next year’s UPAC” he boasted to Basketballghana.com after the interview. UG has won the past three editions of the UPAC Champions wrapping up its third title earlier this year in the renowned competition.
