Ghana Police Service Female Basketball Coach Chief Inspector Antwi has pointed out hard work and training is the reason behind his team’s success.

He made the statement in an interview on basketball television program “Courtside” which airs on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports.

Police recently won the maiden edition of the CAP 7 Memorial Basketball Tournament by beating Braves of Customs 37-29 in the final.

The win marked Police’s second straight title in the 2018 campaign after clinching the Cowbell After 7 Afahy3 Basketball Tournament.

Police also leads the Accra Basketball League (ABL) standings with an unbeaten record in nine games (18 points) and pushing hard to end Braves reign as champions.

Reacting to the team’s success, Chief Inspector Antwi highlighted his team’s weapons stating, “Hard work and training that’s our secret”.

Assistant Coach Sereant Sassou joined Police’s contingent which had Most Valuable Player Georgina Ntow and Tournament All Star member Mavis Mantey.

Ntow and Forward Zenabu Mohammed qualified Ghana to the African 3×3 Championship which takes place on November 9.
