The 2018 African 3×3 Basketball Championship is a month away from commencement in Togo‘s capital city Lome with Ghana set to compete.

This year’s tournament is scheduled to tip off on November 9 and end on November 11 as 12 nations are primed to battle for continental glory.

Ghana’s Female side will feature in the competition after scrapping through Zone 3 qualifiers which took place in Cotonou, Benin.

The West Africa heavy roster for the competition has Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Egypt making the cut.

Aside Ghana, Benin, Nigeria, Cape Verde, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Ivory Coast and host Togo will represent the West African sub region.

Ghana’s Female side made amends for the Male contingent’s failure to qualify beyond the zone despite clinching a shock win over Ivory Coast.

Ghana’s side had three Ghana Police Service members Georgina Ntow, Balkisu Saleem and Zenabu Mohammed play in Benin.

Tudu Galaxy Forward Naa Shika Moffat was the sole non Police member of the team. Only winners qualify to the World Cup.
