Celebrated Afro Pop Musician Wanlov the Kubolor has sent out a message to the basketball team of his alma mater Adisadel College (ADISCO) ahead of the 2019 Sprite Ball Championship.

This year’s Sprite Ball Championship runs from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra with 12 schools competing in the Boys Division and eight teams competing in the Girls Division.

Adisadel College is one of two schools representing the Central Region in Ghana’s biggest high school basketball tournament this weekend.

ADISCO has been drawn in Group C alongside 2016 Champions Opoku Ware School and three time bronze medalist Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS).

In the video, the Afro Pop star congratulated the team for qualifying to the competition before calling on the young lads to have a united front during the tournament albeit in Pidgin English. Below is a paraphrased take on his message:

“All I can say is you guys should work as a team, I hope you train hard and also believe in yourself, your shots, be sure of everything you are doing” he said.
