Semifinal games for the FIBA 2019 Africa Basketball League (AfroLeague) are to be played next month Basketballghana.com gathers.

While the specific dates are yet to be confirmed, teams in the Final Four were determined following the conclusion of quarterfinal games this past weekend.

JS Kairouan, Smouha SC, Primeiro do Agosto and AS Sale progressed ahead of the likes of Civil Defenders, Al Ahly and ES Rades.

Kairouan (Tunisia), Smouha (Egypt), Sale (Morocco) represent a large North African contingent at this stage of the continental competition. Only Agosto (Angola) sits outside the North African block.

Sale is on course to defend its title after clinching a 96-77 win over Defenders following a 69 draw in the first leg played in Abuja.

Kairouan inched past local rival Rades in tough legs with 68-67 and 74-74 wins in the first and second legs respectively. Smouha beat 2016 Champions Ahly in both legs including an 88-81 win at home in Alexandria.

Agosto came out on top in the all Angolan clash against Atletico Petroleos. Agosto won 74-57 in the second leg.
