Tema Rockets won its second game of the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League regular season campaign over Tema Heat thanks to a 49-36 win over the past weekend.
The win closed the series over Rockets following a 43-31 win over Heat in the first round of the campaign as Rockets closes in on a place in the postseason.
Rockets latest win came in a round that had three other games played out at Tema’s Community 4 Court. Guard/ Forward Ebenezer Borsah was instrumental in Rockets victory as the veteran player bagged six three pointers.
Despite playing well in the final quarter, Heat’s poor start was a major reason for its loss on Sunday, September 22.
Heat trailed 3-14 at the end of the first quarter and 8-27 at the end of the second quarter; long tenured players Patrick Gamerli and Fred Yeboah played well for Heat.
Defending champions Nungua Coldstore beat Francophone All Stars 45-41 while Tema Wildacts topped Akatsi Rifles with a 53-36 win.
