Ghanaian side Braves of Customs is already in a must win situation as it prepares to play National Ports Authority Pythons from Liberia in the ongoing Basketball Africa League (BAL) qualifiers.

The team takes on Pythons today at 14:00 GMT in Cotonou, Benin after losing 59-82 to home side ASPAC in the opening game.

Braves Forward Daniel Aryee and Shooting Guard Baniba Dodzi were the only Braves players to score in double digits in the loss; Aryee scored 18 points and Dodzi scored 14 points.

Pythons matchup against Braves is the team’s debut game in the NBA-FIBA Africa continental competition. Both teams are to battle for the top two places to advance from Group B.

A win over the Liberian side would be Customs first in the tournament which has the final stages slated for March, 2020 in Kigali, Rwanda.

On the other hand, ASPAC plays Nigelec Baksetball from Niger; Nigelec lost 68-74 to Abidjan Basketball on Day One.
