Kelvin Morrison and Hamza Toure have been named Most Valuable Players for Week 2 of the Western Basketball Association Club Championship Basketballghana.com can confirm.

The two players stood out in the recently concluded round of games at the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Court in Ghana’s Western Regional capital, Sekondi-Takoradi.

Morrison starred for Oil City Kings in the team’s 35-33 win over Sekondi Bikat by registering 14 points and six rebounds in the game.

Toure played a key role in St. John’s 38-23 win over Eff-Ess after registering a 15 point, 14 rebound double double for the Yellow and Blacks.

The pair’s win follows up on Samuel Abbey’s MVP Award after the opening week in the 2019 season; Abbey plays for Dark Elite.

Unsurprisingly, Kings and St. John’s occupy the top two positions in the league standings with Kings leading the way. Dark Elite and TTU Oilers follow in respective order.

After a 20-28 loss to Dark Elite in Week One, Viking Warriors rank bottom in the eight team standings.
