St. Louis Senior High School and Kumasi Girls Senior High School (KGEE) will represent the Ashanti Region in the upcoming Sprite Ball Championship can confirm.

The two schools will compete in Ghana’s biggest High School Basketball tournament on a yet to be named date in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

St. Louis topped the Girls Division in a recently held regional championship at the Our Lady of Grace Senior High School in Mampongteng.

The win came at the expense of Kumasi Anglican Senior High School (KASS) in the final while KGEE failed to make it to the final surprisingly.

Despite missing out, KGEE gets to compete in the national competition by virtue of winning the immediate past edition of Sprite Ball.

That win was KGEE’s second straight national title and the school gets an opportunity to win an unprecedented third straight title in the coming weeks.

In the Boys Division, bitter rivals Prempeh College and Opoku Ware School will represent the region. Opoku Ware beat Prempeh 27-26 in the regional final.
