Ghanaian duo Nathan Mensah and Joel Mensah were in action earlier tonight in the USA Men’s College Basketball 2019-2020 Regular Season matchup for San Diego State University.
The pair helped the Aztecs secure an 86-61 win over Grand Canyon University improving the team’s record to three wins in as many appearances thus far in the campaign.
Starting Center Nathan played 21 minutes and delivered nine rebounds, a block and 14 points; he was efficient in the game scoring seven of eight shot attempts.
His scoring tally was tied for the most for San Diego with teammate Malachi Flynn; Lorenzo Jenkins of Grand Canyon scored the most points (15) in the game.
After not playing in the previous game against Brigham Young University (BYU), Joel Mensah played seven minutes off the bench and registered four points and four rebounds.
The team’s latest win comes ahead of a grudge match against San Diego University on November 20 and both Ghanaians are expected to compete in the game barring injury.
