UG (Blue) v Reformers in ABL matchup.

Reformers of Prisons Female Team had a chance to end another tournament in third place in the 2019 season but couldn’t materialize after missing out on third place in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division.

Prisons lost 49-59 to Ghana Fire Service in front of its home fans at the Prisons Court in Cantonments, Accra for third place in the ABL playoffs.

Reformers clinched bronze in this year’s CAP 7 Memorial Tournament and aimed to close out the season with another bronze medal.

However, Fire played steadily throughout the contest to walk away with a 10 point win after leading the contest through all four quarters.

Earlier in the playoffs, Prisons lost 34-65 to Braves of Customs in the first round played this past weekend at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

The final standings are to be sorted out this weekend as Game 2 between Braves and defending league champions Ghana Police Service clash in Tudu on Saturday, November 16 at 18:00 GMT. Police beat Braves 48-45 in Game One.

Should Braves tie the series, Game 3 will come off on Sunday.
