Adenta Leopards made the headlines after grabbing a 65-57 win over Braves of Customs in the ongoing 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I playoffs.

The win was Leopards first in the league over the defending league champions after coming close on several attempts including the infamous 65-66 loss in the last regular season matchup between the two sides.

Both teams missed key players in the matchup; Baniba Dodzi and Patrick Gameli were absent from Braves roster and Emmanuel Wolff of Adenta missed the matchup.

Gameli served an automatic suspension after getting ejected in the first round matchup against Tema Youth; Gameli was involved in a physical altercation with a fan.

Dodzi on the other hand, has been absent from the team since Braves returned to Ghana from competing at the Basketball Africa League (BAL) qualifiers in Benin.

Like Dodzi, Leopards Shooting Guard Wolff has not featured for the team since the playoffs commenced. Game 2 is on Saturday, November 16 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu at 18:00 GMT.
