Sekondi College (SEKCO) and St. John’s School will represent the Western Region at the Sprite Ball Championship for the second year on the bounce.

The schools have qualified to the final game of the Western Regional qualification games taking place at St. John’s School in Sekondi.

The home school secured its place in the final thanks to a 26-5 win over Fijai Senior High School and topped Group B in the preliminary stages.

SEKCO qualified to the final in a similar manner by winning all games in Group A including a 28-2 win over Nsein Senior High School and the all important 12-9 win over Takoradi Technical Institute.

Both have picked up the qualification tickets available in the Boys Division to the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship which runs from January 3 to January 4 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

Shama Senior High School (SHASS) would be hoping to represent the region again as the school battles Fijai Senior High School in the Girls Division final for the sole qualification spot available.

Shama won bronze at the 2019 Sprite Ball.
