St. John's (yellow) v Fijai in 2020 Sprite Ball Western regional qualifiers

St. John’s School, Sekondi delivered its version of Host and Win on Saturday, December 14 by winning the Boys Division of the Western Region qualifiers for the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship.

The Saints delivered a 9-4 win over Sekondi College (SEKCO) in the final that was played in limited time due to poor visibility at the venue.

St. John’s ended the qualifiers unbeaten and returns to Sprite Ball; SEKCO joins as a representative from the region for the second time in a row.

2018 Sprite Ball participant Takoradi Technical Institute came in third place ahead of former Sprite Ball Bronze medal winners Ghana Senior High Technical School (GSTS) in the standings.

Fijai Senior High School placed sixth with Takoradi Senior High School (TADISCO) placing fifth and Nsein Senior High School ending in seventh place.

St. John’s and SEKCO join the 12 team roster at the national competition which runs from January 3 to January 4, 2020 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

Sprite Ball is organized by Rite Sports Limited and sponsored by Coca Cola Company.
