Tema Youth has emerged winners of the West Coast Basketball Challenge Tournament Basketballghana.com can confirm.

The competition concluded over this past weekend in Lome, Togo with the Ghanaian team topping the division that had teams from fellow West African nations.

Tema beat Dyto from Togo 65-60 in the Final game to end the competition unbeaten thanks to wins over Swallows and Destiny.

Swallows from Togo lost 52-61 to Tema while Destiny from Benin lost 59-85 to Tema prior to the final; the competition was Tema’s second appearance on the international stage after featuring in the Temple Jam Tournament in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Emmanuel Quaye led team competed on Saturday and Sunday in Togo’s capital after moving from its base in Ghana’s Habour City.

The Team had a host of players due to compete in the All Star Game at the Africa Basketball Festival star in the tournament including Kwame Boamah Djan and Abdul Moro Bashiru.
