Slam Dunk Winner Moses Abu

Tema All Star Forward Moses Abu has won the 2019 Accra Basketball Festival Slam Dunk Contest ahead of a talented field of high flyers at the Bukom Arena.

The 6 foot 4 inch player topped the contest after recording 56 out of 60 points on two dunks in the final round against Accra representative James Amotoe.

Abu also led the scores in the first round recording 27 points on a reverse dunk on a bounce pass and 24 points on a two handed slam.

The title clinching dunk was a huge conversion from a long alley oop to get the overwhelming approval of the judges and fans.

Melody Edwards and Amotoe represented Accra in the contest while Abdul Bashiru, Dennis Dugbennu and Abu represented Tema.

Moses win ensured Tema dominated the Festival winning three of the four contests held at the arena; Tema beat Accra in the Slam Dunk Contest, Three Point Shooting Contest and Ladies Free Throw Contest.

Abu competes in the Tema Community Basketball League for Tema Community 2.
