The 2019 Tema Community Basketball League playoffs are due to commence on Sunday, December 28 at Tema’s Community 4 Court Basketballghana.com can confirm.
The upcoming postseason is the fourth since the league’s inception in 2016; eight teams will compete in the playoffs for the third year in a row.
Two time league winners Nungua Coldstore leads the playoff seedings after topping the standings with 21 wins in 22 games and takes on eighth seed Sakumono Titans in the first round.
The matchup has Titans Coach Kenneth Caesar going up his former team; Caesar led Coldstore to the 2016 title with Simon Aphour playing for Coldstore. The match tips off at 15:30 GMT.
Former league winners Tema Community 4 play league debutant and seventh seed Tema Wildcats after C4 clinched the second seed.
Third seed Spintex Knights play sixth seed and 2018 league finalist Tema Heat while Tema Community 2 has a tough veteran heavy fixture against Tema Rockets in a battle of fourth and fifth seed.
