Adisadel College has topped Group C of the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship after winning all two games to progress to the quarterfinals.
Group C dubbed the Group of Death due to the presence of tough schools had no effect on Adisadel College’s play in the preliminary stage of Ghana’s biggest High School basketball tournament.
Adisadel beat Pope John Senior High School 43-41 in an enthralling game to open the final day of play in this year’s competition.
Pope John needed to beat Adisadel to have a chance of extending its stay in the tournament but lost out narrowly in the best game of the tournament thus far.
Adisadel tops the Group and is scheduled to play Prempeh College in the quarterfinals; Prempeh sealed its place in the quarters thanks to a 42-18 win over Asuom Senior High School. Asuom made their debut in this year’s competition and exit without a win.
In the Girls Division, Krobo Girls beat Bueman Senior High School 20-15. However, both schools wont progress from Group A as Kumasi Girls Senior High and Osu PRESEC.
