Quarterfinal fixtures for this year’s Sprite Ball Championship have been released Basketballghana.com can confirm; all games are to be honoured at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
The eight top schools progressed from four groups in the preliminary stage; the top two teams in each group progressed to the knockout stage.
Group A winners Keta Business College take on Opoku Ware School in the opening game; Keta shocked all by topping Group A ahead of five time winners and defending champions Mfantsipim School.
Mfantsipim plays St. John’s School, Sekondi in the second quarterfinal game; St. John’s topped Group B ahead of Opoku Ware School who won the 2016 Championship.
Adisadel College topped Group C or the Group of Death and have a matchup against Prempeh College in the quarters. Adisadel leaned heavily on three point shooting and rebounding to get past opposing schools in the prior stage.
The final quarterfinal game is an all Accra matchup between West Africa Senior High School and Osu-PRESEC.
